While I love living in Montana even I have to admit it can get a little boring and lonely at times especially living alone somewhat out in the wilderness. I certainly enjoy the quiet life at home but I also like traveling and going out on adventure once or twice a year. Part of my travels each year always include a trip or two to a healthy eating event so that I can learn about the latest in what it takes to give your body all the correct nutrients it needs while avoiding any damage or imblances. My focus is always learning how to improve my raw fruit and vegetable diet so I like to attend the conferences and seminars that I can get the most out of in regards to this area of expertise. If you are just as interested as me in improving your diet and overall eating habits I highly recommend checking out and consider going to the following yearly healthy eating events.
My Favorite Healthy Eating Event #1: Healthy Living Festival
Location: Del Mar, California / Dates: April 8th and 9th
With over 30 free workshops, seminars & cooking demos to choose from, 200 healthy living products & service exhibitors, free medical testing, yoga & qigong classes and belly dancing & Zumba Shows this is one healthy lifestyle event that is super fun to attend. I always love a good excuse to visit California as well and Del Mar is beautiful so this one always seems to find its way to the top of the list.
My Favorite Healthy Eating Event #2: Wanderlust Festival
Location: Various / Dates: Various
Holding a primary vision to create a “create community around mindful living the Wanderlust festivals include yoga, healthy eating, environmental awareness, health and wellness, speaches, educational seminars and music. One of the best aspects of this get together is that it tours all over the country so usually there is one that ends up being very close to me. So this is great event that you usually do not have to go out of your way to attend.
My Favorite Healthy Eating Event #3: VeggieFest
Location: Lisle, Illinois / Dates: July 23rd and 24th
One of the biggest vegetarian food and lifestyle festivals in the country VeggieFest has food demos, international talks, music, a children’s tent, and over 100 vendor booths on all aspects of health, dieting and wellness. One of the main reasons I love this even so much is due to its large international food presence. Its not often you get to learn a lot about other cultures food in the states and this is a great opportunity every year to do so.
What are some of your favorite healthy events to attend? Let me know!
